2、 Character:
The product is white or yellowish odorless, tasteless, tasteless and easy to flow powder with 40 mesh sieving rate ≥ 99%; softening temperature: 135-140 ℃; apparent density: 0.35-0.61g/ml; decomposition temperature: 205-210 ℃; slow burning speed; equilibrium temperature content: 23 ℃; 6% at 50% RH, 29% at 84% RH.
It is soluble in cold water and hot water, and generally insoluble in most organic solvents. When pH value is in the range of 2-12, the viscosity changes little, but when pH value is beyond this range, the viscosity decreases.
3、 Important properties
As a non-ionic surfactant, hydroxyethyl cellulose not only has the functions of thickening, suspension, adhesion, floatation, film-forming, dispersion, water retention and providing protective colloid, but also has the following properties:
1, HEC can be dissolved in hot water or cold water, high temperature or boiling without precipitation, so that it has a wide range of solubility and viscosity characteristics, and non thermal gelatinization.
2. It can coexist with other water-soluble polymers, surfactants and salts in a wide range. It is an excellent gel thickener with high concentration electrolyte solution;
3. The water retention capacity is twice higher than that of methylcellulose, which has better flow regulation,
4、 The dispersibility of HEC is the worst than that of methylcellulose and hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, but the ability of protecting colloid is the strongest.
4、 Solution and preparation method
1. Add the specified amount of clean water to the container;
2. Add hydroxyethyl cellulose under low-speed agitation, stir to all hydroxyethyl cellulose, stir until all materials are completely wet;
3. Stir until all hydroxyethyl cellulose is completely dissolved, and then add other components of the formula to mix well.
Five, use
It is commonly used as thickening agent, protective agent, adhesive, stabilizer and additive for preparing emulsion, gel, ointment, lotion, eye clearing agent, suppository and tablet. It is also used as hydrophilic gel, skeleton material and preparation of skeleton sustained-release preparation.
Six, packaging
25kg / bag moisture-proof packaging shall be stored in a cool and dry place, and it shall be used immediately after opening the bag. If there is any surplus in use, attention shall be paid to sealing and moisture-proof. The recommended service life of the product is 12 months.
